When you decide onto a particular house that you have to rent, there are certain set of inspections or rather checks that you need to perform. Not just the tenant, both the tenant, and the landlord need to perform this inspection.

For the landlord this pre move in house inspection is a must to maintain the longevity of your house. This inspection is important for the landlord because they do not live there, so for them it is important that they find the most qualified tenants for their place. The key factors that why you should perform this inspection is –
a. You’ll get an idea of the repairs and maintenance that you need to perform for your house, at an initial stage, before it becomes an expensive problem to you.
b. You will also get an idea, that the tenant is following the lease terms properly and whether the tenant is taking care of tenant related maintenance or not.

Security – 
a. Check if the doors leading outside are sturdy. Do you see that there have been any attempted break in’s.
b. Check if the exterior lightning is working fine.
c. Check if all the doors and windows lock properly.
